I've only ever updated my resume when I was looking for a job, but apparently, that's not how most people do it? How often do you guys update your resumes? I was told people typically update their resumes every six months or so, but I can't think of a reason why someone would need to update it so often.

I don't really update it that often. Typically only when I'm looking for a job or I get annoyed with my job and think about looking for jobs. I'd say never more than once a year.

I update mine from time to time. Usually when I get bored of my job but not once a year or anything. Plus it’s been years since I’ve updated my LinkedIn profile.

When ever I get a new skill lol. I just added AI

OK, I have a question for you then. What AI skill did you master? I know I need to be learning AI skills, but I have no idea where to begin.

I update mine when I look for a job that's it. I'm not sure why you would more often. I don't forget things I've added and I usually match my resume to the job I'm applying for. I am not sure why you would update it unless you need it.

I heard a good rule of thumb is every 6-12 months. There should be a professional or personal development item to update.

I’m working with a manager who likes to prioritize his ideas over strategic research, I want to be helpful because it’s very distressing to watch ideas being presented without the appropriate research, any advice?

I am a registered sales assistant which means I have my series 7. I also have the 63 and my Life & Health license. I was a financial advisor but the role is commission only so I decided to take a role as an assistant for some time to learn etc. I really like my role, but I only make 32k a year and after taxes I only take home about 25k. I have a gut feeling that I’m not being paid market value but it’s tough to find comparable salaries. Do you think $15.38/hr is a fair wage in this case?
