We do, but MBA SAs come in at a different level that is higher than internal promotes.
It evens out by, I think, SA2.
Also, isn’t there also SA3? What does it need to start as SA3 as experienced hire.

Cohort? Yes.
MBA status only matters first year at SA, otherwise it makes no difference. If you come in as an experienced hire, you might be able to negotiate which SA cohort you come in at.
Public sources are tricky because they average multiple years worth of data and some people don't report accurately. PwC / S& are pretty transparent about pay, so feel free to ask for specifics.
2 years for no mba cohort btw
There is cohort based pay. They offered me less than I was making now and had a lot of restrictions on moving that around.
The pay bands for S&, unlike for PwC, are equal regardless of MBA or Geography, but having an MBA increases your chances of being considered for a higher cohort.
Agree. The way to negotiate salary is to negotiate cohort placement. That or a one-time bonus.
Our performance bonuses are generally pretty high. So while base may have been lower. Would be surprised if total comp was lower.
