Fifteen years in one dealership tells me you understand relationships, retention, upselling, and objection handling. Medical sales cares about performance, not just degrees. I would target associate roles, highlight revenue impact, and network aggressively with reps and managers.
Absolutely, I worked in Energy and Broadband sale's for year's and got a job with a medical supply company, without a degree?
I did have an electrical engineering background, not sure if that made a difference, but it wasn't the most enjoyable job, I ever had to be honest.
You’re likely going to struggle to bridge yo gap between your retail sales background and B2B sales in a highly competitive space. Network hard and be ready to take a step back in your career to change paths.
Thanks for the input. I do have a large customer base in business to business / fleet accounts. I’m not sure if that helps me to not. Any other advice moving backwards? Thanks again.
I would still apply, even without a degree. I have seen plenty of sales jobs hire people for their experience, even without a degree. I definitely think it is still worth applying to see what they say.
I would push the fact that you have an automotive background as well, it's not that you're a complete novice, especially if it was EV business/ fleet accounts, even if it wasn't EV , I would be pushing the fact about your knowledge of spec. and building relationships with clients.
