Just got a positive test line is very very faint. My lifestyle over the past month has been less that ideal. I’ve had a drink once or twice a week. Colored my hair last week and been using retinol based products. We had a MMC last month and were not planning on getting pregnant immediately but maybe in a few months. Is my baby at risk if this is a viable pregnancy ?

No, it’s way too early and still on a cellular level. Millions of women, billions of pregnancies, have started without a woman knowing to lay off alcohol or retinol etc and the babies are statistically just fine (that’s a MASSIVE sample size). Congrats ❤️ I hope it is a wonderful pregnancy.

You have nothing to worry about - your baby is not at risk. Congrats!!

Don’t worry about what you’ve done, focus on being cautious now and acting by all the “pregnancy rules”. Congratulations!

First trimester insomnia?
I’m only about 5 weeks, but my sleep schedule has gone off the rail the last three nights. I’m sleepy/drowsy, settled in bed around the same time every night, and yet I cannot fall or stay asleep. I have a white noise machine, comfy bed, cool room.. etc. When I do fall asleep, it’s earlier in the morning and I sleep until 1/1:30pm. This was fine the first few nights since it was the weekend, but it can’t keep up. Anyone else experience this and have any recommendations?

When did you tell work about your pregnancy?

Did you do the NIPT? I just had my first prenatal appt and they scheduled me for the NIPT at 10 weeks. I’m a little nervous and anxious. Did anyone get it and got a false positive? Do you not recommend it? I wish I could ask family but we’re not telling anyone until the 12 weeks mark.

Was there a specific point where all this became real for you all? I’m almost 6 weeks and have only had mild symptoms and wondering when it will finally hit for me.

I’m having a really hard time with my changing body. 13 weeks, I don’t have too many bad side effects of pregnancy or anything so I consider myself lucky (no nausea ever etc) but I’m depressed at work, my skin is completely broken out and showing new broken face capillaries, and I’m not showing a bump yet so I just feel fat and big. I don’t know where this “glow” is but I look in the mirror and literally am grappling with not recognizing myself :( it’s been impossible to find any clothes too.
