You need to provide more information around your motivation to leave and your goals.
Based on what you provided - CLEAR NO.
Gartner doesn’t do implementation - are you looking to do that or stay theoretical / strategic?
From above, you’re an SCon at $130k with a 15% bonus who would take a demotion to Consultant at Accenture for less pay? Surely you’d be able to turn your title and pay into something. How long have you been at Gartner?
They gave you credit for month at level which makes you eligible for promotion at the one year mark. You're getting paid 1st year manager salary that's home grown.
Currently at Gartner Consulting making $130k with 15% bonus and strong career path to partner. High likelihood of promotion from SCon to Associate director at year end. Worth the jump to start over at Accenture and make less at least in short term
I wouldn’t do it based on the limited info you provided. One more thing to note: that is on the high end for Consultant (L9) so you will not get much of a raise next year, unless you are promoted, which will be difficult, but doable, within your first year.
Thanks for the insight I countered and asked about what a raise looks like between levels and annually. They came back with no change in bonus but $127k and $17k signing. Appreciate your help
PEOPLE:
At big firms like Accenture/B4/etc. there are different practice areas with different comp levels despite sharing all the same titles.
E.g. :
Strategy Sr. Consultant could be 150-160
Technology Sr. Consultant could be 110-130
They're not an apples to apples comparison. They do different kinds of work and are compensated differently. That being said, I wish all these firms would make it more transparent what practice areas there are and not try to call everything strategy consulting when it's not. And quit re-orging to make things more and more ambiguous.
