Comment if you or someone you know makes $200k (could be cash + equity) working 40h/week (at most 50h occasionally) in an industry (not consulting) strategy operations or other business-related role (not product management or software engineering type of techy role), at age 25 or 3 years after undergrad. I know it’s kind of rare but want to know how rare/possible it is. What is their background and company (industry, stage, size, etc.) that got them to this nice position?Boston Consulting Group
What are raise amounts or percentages per year?
Hi everyone! Does anyone in here work for Omada Health ? I have an interview next Wednesday for a PT Member Support Agent role and am unclear on what the pay could be. Glassdoor has the pay estimate at 42k-48k, but I found a comment where someone in the same role mentioned only getting paid $12/hr. I have 8 years of experience as a CSR but I’ve had a couple year gap in between now and my last job. TIA Any advice helps .

Hey, I have 4 YOE and currently a manager at PwC and have been managing teams for a little over a year now. My role mainly consists of leading teams of engineers deliver MVPs to our clients.
If I wanted to exit to Google or Facebook (Meta) what role would align for me? I was looking at engineering manager roles but unsure if that’s too senior for me.

I have an initial recruiter phone interview with Square Thursday. Is it it just a phone call or is it a video call and they didn’t specify. If it’s a video call what’s the dress code like? I’m coming from consulting so all my interviews were in suits. Any tips to get past the recruiter phone screen?

Depends if you want to be a PE associate in a MCOL city. 6 months from now if you get early direct promote you’ll make ~that. If your friends are in the city you’re in now, is giving that up worth more or less the same money 6 months earlier? I said no to a similar offer because I liked my apartment, city, and friends.
@B&C 1,
Good thoughts. Couple of callouts that I'd love to get your thoughts on:
1) Early direct promote is out of the picture--not something I have the rating for, nor what I want to strive for (SC up my whole time at Bain)
2) Excluding NAP, position will pay ~65k more over the next 2 years with no base/bonus increase
3) Me and my husband both have lots of friends in the MCOL city
4) WLB is reported to be significantly better (which is odd to hear, and something I'm going to press on, but anything less than 70+ hours/week in PEG sounds more sustainable)
In that case, it sounds like it might well be a rational move for you to do it. I just wouldn’t use comp as a reason to leave all your friends. I’m a firm believer that your 20s are to be enjoyed with good friends. If you want to work in PE and live in the new city, then go for it! But if it’s only for the money? $65k is a drop in the bucket over a long career. I’d pay that to be with my friends guaranteed in my 20s.
Would also say that SC+ can work for EDP - would just be vocal that it’s a thing you want. If you ask LT to view you in that light, they often will
