One consideration- take up the MDs on the MC move - you stay employed and can spin it as you search as you need. So much easier to land elsewhere when you look like you are gainfully employed and "not really looking." Use ACN as you search for the right move.

Market conditions - unstaffed for 3 months. For context I have had 2 straight years of "successful and growing" at C. I am a C3. Better get on role asap if you are unstaffed friends. The guillotine is coming.

I had an old MD from SF office that I used to work with call me. Initially it was "I want to get caught up on staffing" in the email body. When the call stated he said he wanted to get to the point. I knew what was coming. For additional context the last HR e-mail I received two weeks ago was the first indication that a layoff was possible--"may have to discuss other opportunities internal / external to Accenture". When I responded with follow up questions for last two weeks - I unfortunately didn't get response from HR. Call this morning was abrupt, but to the point. If you are level 8 or higher - it is one week per year of service.
Ah yes- the famous "other external/internal opportunities" email from HR. I got that one last year and by some miracle I got staffed 4 days before the call.It was just luck, nothing more. Thanks for the info OP and I am sorry this happened to you. It will be Accenture's loss.
^correct. For additional context: been at firm for 4.5 years (above, sig above, success & growing, ditto). 2 years @ analyst. 2 completed years @ C. Got rounded down to 4 years of service. So I will be getting 4 weeks of severance effective last day of employment @ end of feb.
You guys are awesome! No hard feelings @ ACN, company has been good to me. A couple MDs have already reached out offering to get me into MC. For me personally, not interested at this time, but appreciated the gesture. I will say though if you are unstaffed in strat, around 3 month point, and have received the infamous HR e-mail, would kick it to another level to get staffed if staying in strat is utmost priority. Feb is unfortunately notorious for clearing up space on bench. Mazel Mazel, good things!

Can't they staff you in MC?
The severance policy can be found at the hewitt benefit site. Go to knowledge library and go to the bottom. Looking at the policy I was disappointed, it is not generous in my opinion.
