I was supposed to have my second interview at Raytheon Technologies Corporation. I got an email three min before saying that they had a surprise fire drill and they had to evacuate the building and they needed to reschedule for next week. Do I need to to wait for them to reach back out or can touch base with them tomorrow? I don’t want to be obnoxious. 😅

I think you’re reading too much into it. If their policies are to have the recruiter reach to you that’s totally normal. I didn’t have anyone in HR contact me for my offer - it was the recruiter. HR is who I dealt with once I accepted my offer. Unless you understand the structure of this organization take everything at face value.
Thank you! I want to work for this person so bad - she’s crazy smart and talented

Could be interpreted as “it’s been great getting to know you...AND...can’t wait get to know you more once we hire you!!” Hope that’s the case for you, OP. Happy weekend! 🐠
For what it's worth, I interviewed at a pharma company last year. Five interviews, including VP level. Director who was hiring specifically said I'd be told one way or another.
Ghosted. That was a hit to the old confidence.
That said, as others added, all of my offers have come from HR/recruiting, not the hiring manager. So I wouldn't read into that comment at all.
At my last 3 offers, always the recruiter gave me the offer at the end of the process. „HR“ only took over after onboarding (all experienced hire offers). Recruiters were also mostly part of the HR organization. Wouldn‘t worry about the wording here from the hiring manager 👍
The past two times I've received an offer it was through the recruiter I spoke to first as a way to close the loop so there's still plenty of hope! Best of luck!

I've had 8 jobs so far in my career and the recruiter was the POC for the offer for 7 of them, with HR being the POC for the one other firm.
Sounds fine to me.

Yes! Very bad. I normally get offers immediately
This sounds fine to me. Once my last round interviewer said the similar thing and I got offer afterwards
Reading too much. At the end of the interview we interviewers often have no idea what the next step for you is or who will reach out to you so we make up words like recruiter or HR or someone.
Don’t overthink it.
Agreed, I wouldn’t read too much into it. In the few jobs I’ve had it was always the recruiter who called me about an offer. Also, it’s possible that she needs to debrief with the other interviewers before making a final decision so she just said something generic for the time being.
I use the same language for all candidates, especially if I’m not done interviewing everyone yet
I just got an offer from a tech company, and the in-house recruiter is the one who called to give me the news :)
We live in a world where most of us have said “thanks, you too” back to the gate agent who wished us safe travels. Don’t read into it. I’m sure it’s fine.
