how to see my fishbowl score?
Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

Not sure why we're hiring. We're behind planned.
Probably specific skill sets at specific levels?
Hey D7, I have worked for some companies that always have planned better than this. The firms are not as smart as people think they are.
In other words, we were way over staffed just six months ago, but now we need to bring those people back?! Is there a partner here who can shed some light on what's going on?
This infuriates me. In June, advisory risk flew several hundred people to San Antonio for an unnecessary all hands. In November, they started laying people off. How are you so off mark in under a year when we're a federal heavy practice?!?!
To be specific, I'm referencing commercial S&O
That is so sad
In Advisory, I had people laid off from@my projects the same week we made offers to campus hires
Y'all need a young buck to fill a commercial s&o role in DC/VA?
Ugh
I'd be very surprised at this. We're way behind plan.
I'm not surprised, I believe it and have seen the exact same thing several years ago. I'm no longer "impressed" by the firm; in many ways we're f'ing stupid as a company. Even sadder is many of us are smart enough to fix this and they won't listen. We just have to wait for leadership to get its act together (e.g. change hands to people more progressive).
@D7: Well, we just got a new CEO, so I guess we'll be waiting a while there.
You mean Engelbert, the one that's been there for a year?
Yeah, and Foutty for consulting. It's a 5 year tenure, right?
A1 - totally agree.
