When I first started in Big4, we all used to hook up all the time. Lots of people having sex because we’d all go out together after work so it was inevitable. Then there were the trainings. Those conferences were giant sex romps for associate and seniors. Manager training calmed down because everyone seemed to be newly married and coupled up. ETU at EY became a hook up fest again as everyone either was divorced or cheating.
So that’s what they do at ETU?
I’m an associate at a big firm. I had a gf but started wanting to break up and I started cheating - first with this girl I thought was kinda hot but annoying that my friend was originally trying to hook up with (but she was apparently more into me); then with this girl that’s like the office smoke-show (super hot; like extremely hot).
No overlap between the two flings. Both of them knew I was in a relationship.
The super hot one was also super cool and I started really liking her a lot. I feel like I fell in love right away tbh.
After cheating for like a month and having feelings for the other girl, I couldn’t keep up with living a double life so I broke up with my then gf.
I told the super hot girl about the break up and we started drinking that night and spontaneously went on a weekend vacation without packing anything. We drunkenly called ourselves “official” during that trip.
We’ve been pretty much inseparable since. This was all about a year and a half ago. We’re engaged now.
(Side note: the first girl - the kinda hot but annoying girl - is now in a serious relationship with my friend that was originally the one trying to hook up with her lol)
You should probably have a serious fight before getting married but okay...
Sure have

I’ve done it and highly recommend against it. Seems like a good idea but can cause unforeseen challenges when things don’t work out
Yes once in my same group but we called it off after a couple of weeks

That’s like 100 times after?
Yup. Made things awkward... but it was fun until it got awkward
Did once, with someone just a little more senior than me. It just kind of fizzled, but would imagine it’s super common.

1 of them we pretended like nothing happened since we worked on the same job and she was my senior. The other we sort of dated, mostly casually, and we didn’t work on the same job, so it wasn’t as big a deal. We didn’t bring it up or make it obvious in the office since she was an associate and I was a manager but weren’t really trying to hide anything.
Twice. One time he was a co-worker. The other time a manager (not mine but used to sit just beside my cubicle).
