Only $5 sign bonus?
Yes. Know your value and politely decline the trash offer. They are paying others with far less qualifications a lot more.
I started with PwC as an associate @ 61k with 3.5 years of experience and a masters degree.
That’s how folks on visas are taken advantage of, I did not have an option because it was a good opportunity

Low balling for sure

Lol an MIT masters, 5 YOE, and only 110k? Yeah, I’d look for something else. Or take it and jump the moment you get something better 🤷♂️
I got an offer for SA3 at PwC in Chicago at $126k base and $30k signing bonus. Ended up still declining but a data point for what you might be able to get.
PWC advisory. Tech consulting. Not S&. And not out of business school. Just negotiated and I know I have a good/unique skillset
Yeah PwC offered me under market for cloud SA3 and tried to feed me a line of crap that Denver is LCOL
That’s the PwC comp for a T2 city for an SA3 (which aligns to 5YOE). Everyone across advisory makes the same at that level. An MBA can change that but usually masters has no effect. I agree that this offer is low for someone with your background, but want to point out that without at least 6YOE as an experienced hire (could make you eligible for Manager level), this was the only offer you were ever going to get.
The sign on bonus however you could probably ask for much higher.
You are getting ripped off - that is all I can say. SA3 on an avg is making $125k without an MBA.
I don’t believe $110k is a standard number for any group for an SA3. You sure you don’t mean $112k?
Either way, unless you’re in S& or have an MBA, pay will not be great.

With a master from MIT, I would think you were capable enough to know what the role was paying for before going thru the process.
Also depends on which masters and so on
right, it's actually harder to find the numbers than I would have thought. It wasn't a hard process so not much point in breaking my head trying to reverse-engineer the numbers. Worst case, I got an offer to add pressure to other firms. Best case, I rebuttal the offer and get paid at least market (hoping for $155 base) + ~27% sign-on bonus
Can someone explain what an SA3 is? Assuming it means senior associate, which is comparable to the senior consultant role here at Deloitte? What does the 3 represent?
Third year senior associate - takes 3 normally at senior associate before manager promotion
OP, how long did it take you to get an offer?
