All of my partners (in PE) are all United GS. They only fly FC
What jobs demand frequent international travel?
A few examples:
One person is responsible for off shore teams utilized by multiple geographies. He needs to meet with both the teams and stakeholders semi frequently.
Another is responsible for pharma sales in a few African countries. So for obvious reasons he goes to Africa frequently.
Yup my friend is part of the IT audit team/cyber security team at a large pharma and has an intl trip to a manufacturing facility every couple months
Managing offshore teams (EMEA + APAC) and being involved in sales also gets you on the road quite frequently. Most folks I know prefer a good international airline in business class to a US airline in first class, but everyone is different...
Status comes pretty quick if you only fly first class... you’d easily get 75k+ miles flying once a month back and forth la-nyc in first class with an international vacay or two a year
