Asides from the objective challenges of the moment, the best bet usually is to start reaching out to agency recruiters / people you know in the industry and let them you’re available for freelance gigs - with a little consistency and a good portfolio something will come up. Best of luck!
Toptal, if you can get in through their vetting process. Once you’re in, the clients you get and the quality of the relationship is great.
Following — as I take freelance paralegal projects also and am building a paralegal freelance firm with staffed attorneys (licensed in about 50% of the states). So, I guess it would actually just be a remote law firm instead.
Definitely. I believe we are already connected via messenger.
Sorry to hear this. Reaching out to connections and letting them know you’re actively looking for work has worked better for me than WNW or LinkedIn

Working Not Working Doesn’t Work. It’s all about networking. Connect with familiar and new peeps with a note on LI and reach out to colleagues via email. Post Something about yourself with a link to your website here and on LI. It’s all about marketing yourself. Good luck.
What state are you in? I started my own business after getting laid off!
I’m a sales and marketing consultant but I also own an agency - www.identitypending.com
Book some time with me on there, happy to show you some things I did to get started! It’s been great!
Sorry you were laid off. I've been there. What's WNW?
Also, I agree about contract jobs and talking to recruiters.

Yep those would be the places to scroll everyday. Follow all the recruiters and hit up any CD, ECD,CCO or resource manager you’ve ever worked with. But believe us it’s slow right now. No one is taking on freelancers until budgets refresh next year. There may be some business critical needs if your lucky but they will more than likely hit up freelancers they’ve already worked with if that happens.
