In some fields, continuing education is a given/required, but most engineers I know have an attitude that they already know everything they can be taught.

I know this bowl has been a little inactive, but I wanna just share this.

I'm just hoping to communicate with others in this industry. Im 21 and struggling to show whether its worth it to take some certs or keep trucking on with the experiences as an IT contractor.

Everyday, day in and day out I hear that Im the the first "lady" in this and the first Latin(e) in that, and I feel alone, professionally, and need guidance.

Have any respiratory therapists found jobs OTHER than being a clinical RT? I want to possibly change careers, but I am finding that a lot of jobs (clinical liason, utilization review, etc) want you to have a nursing degree, not a respiratory degree. I feel like as an RT we are limited to jobs.

Was looking to move up in our company but from what I’m understanding, we have to have a degree in management. How would I go about trying to move up in and out of my position without a degree?

MBA grads who financed most of the experience through loans, any financial advice? Did you choose private loans over direct PLUS? How much did you take on to cover living expenses? How long will it take you to pay it all off?

I don’t trust cheese that doesn’t melt

Had a heart to heart talk with my director today. Been feeling overwhelmed and burnt out since my last job and trying to onboard into this new job (started 3 mths ago). I didn’t have any break between jobs so I realized I burned out quick here. It’s usually not my thing to be too honest in a professional setting but I needed him to know bc my performance was affected. We brainstormed how we can work together to make this a better experience for me. Hopefully he was genuine and doesn’t fire me!

I broke up with my EX mainly because the relationship with my child and her was not the best, it sucks but I have to look out for my child, So far I am able to do the things I can do now. It is not the I am not Hoeing around but the simply fact that I can hang out with friends and go watch my son play baseball is a great feeling now. I feel at peace now, in somewhat of pain because of the breakup but I am at peace now.

Regular fantasize about swinging lifestyle, swapping partners, having orgies, open relationship, etc but don’t know how to tell my partner it’s something I want to try with them.. any tips out there?
