Marketing Mgr / 33 / SF / 10yrs exp / 107K ... I’ve been promised a title + salary three times in 2.5 years and each time, layoffs happen instead of promotions. Over it. How high do I aim at the next?

I think leveraging an offer to get more money is the worst. Now your bosses know you want to leave, you are the fist option during layoffs and you look like an ass the other company.
