Hi, Is it good to join Salesforce for Technical Consultant role (YOE - 3.2 years) ?
I checked with few of my connections, they saying I will be mostly allocated to Salesforce industries (Vlocity) project. Please suggest about the team structure and work life balance for this role.
and also in future, is it possible to apply for IJP in Salesforce ?
Please provide your thoughts on this.

You had me at toxic. Gtfo of there.
Do you have a family that you need to provide for? How are your finances?
I'd go freelance if you can financially swing it. Your current job sounds terrible, but it is still a tough job market, so I can understand the apprehension to leave.
Did you write out pros/cons for each?
I have a cushion for almost a whole year if need be. Writing pros and cons is actually a good idea. Thank you friend.
TLDR; freelance feels scarier than it is.
Was laid off during the pandemic from a toxic “dream job” client side and took a contract role just to try to get through quarantine and then make a move later. Healthcare sucks, but honestly you can just do COBRA and it’s not that bad because you get paid a lot more when you’re a freelancer even if you opt to deduct taxes now. I kept my insurance from my old job and it’s $569/a mo but I kept the good one bc I have some health stuff. You would also be eligible to sign up for healthcare in the marketplace since leaving a job is a status change. There were some plans that were $250/mo. Just make sure you have a few months of savings incase you end up not being super permanent there.
Also! My agency offered me their base plan health insurance. You might have the option to get some through them even as a contractor, I just had to pay the premium monthly. I ended up keeping the cobra one bc it was about the same price and I liked the coverage more.
Cobra runs out after one year FYI. The actual decent plans on the market place are $1000+ a month. Factor this into your thinking long term
Since you have the money saved up, get out. I honestly feel like I had PTSD from a toxic boss. Took me months to feel normal. I should have quit earlier for my mental health.
All of this 👆👆
Sounds like you have your answer! I was laid off from a job working in a horrid toxic work environment. Couldn’t have come at a better time. It utterly ruined my confidence, which I’m still working to get back.
Cobra is a great resource, use it. Indie agency sounds fun. It doesn’t need to be your final stop. Go and have fun and report back!
Nailed it! I never felt so confident walking into a job, then feeling so consumed with remorse so soon. Not for leaving my prior job but for the shell of a person I quickly became. Horrific!
You’ve got this. Now good kill it and be happy!
Thank you. Dumb question. Can I do COBRA if I resign?
Lovely. Wonderful. Thank you so much
