Good. For. You.
Don’t listen to the rude people here, I appreciate the insight and am happy for you!
That seems low for post MBB. Oh well
Good for you and congrats on the exit. Comparison is the thief of joy so focus on your new role and enjoy!
Congrats that's incredible! Did you have pre-MBA pharma experience or work extensively on pharma engagements at MBB?
Pretty standard at director level across PLS. Exited recently myself. Have seen ranges for base salary from $205k to $250k, bonus ~25%. Signing bonus if you can show last year’s to demonstrate what you’re leaving behind. YMMV with equity but $50k to $200k over 4 years depending on maturity of company.
Pharma and Life Sciences
I’ll also add that there are typically annual equity refreshes, plus the WLB is awesome. Working 8:30-5 usually, with apologies for going later :-D
DM for deets, yes to latter.
Does director level compensation differ depending upon your function in the org? Like Director of Market acesss vs Marketing vs Business Development vs Strategy?
I wonder if being a doctor helps or impacts in Pharma.
That’s it? Poor negotiator apparently
A1 and yet you felt the need to humble brag about your package being significantly higher. Oh well - preach away!!
That’s dope, 9-5?
Close to it, let’s hope
What would you have expected?
Pharma sales or no?
OP did you make manager before your exit?
Will you be having direct reports?

Want better WLB
How much stock?
Here is a comp: I’m three years out of MBA and am at 210k base + 160k stock.
No MBB though, didn’t make the cut.

Am I correct in that these US salaries are way higher than elsewhere? I live in Australia and there is no way anyone would exit with a salary package that large
Yes, because we pay for everything out of pocket (health, daycare, university, etc.). I’d rather a lower salary and not all the added stress/expense.
Jesus Christ dude, $300k comp and didn’t even get promoted to manager?
Congrats! 🎊 🥳
Headhunted or applied? Did not making EM hurt you at all?
I think I read your comment wrong. Sorry for perceiving maliciousness where there wasn’t any
Congrats! This is great. Would love to hear if they asked you about transition to EM and how you answered that. I am running into that a lot and would love some tips.
