Got an offer for a sales applications manager role at Cisco and a Strategic AE role at Amazon - both are basically the same pay (130~ base, 220 OTE)
I don’t have any friends at either company so I was curious if anyone has experience and can shed some light on culture/ work life balance to help me make a decision? Thanks for the help guys!

I have an initial recruiter phone interview with Square Thursday. Is it it just a phone call or is it a video call and they didn’t specify. If it’s a video call what’s the dress code like? I’m coming from consulting so all my interviews were in suits. Any tips to get past the recruiter phone screen?

I wouldn’t. What’s more money without WLB to spend that money?
Unless you value interesting work over relationships, family, vacations, evenings and weekends (no shade even though this response sounds shady, I know some people who thoroughly enjoy work and want to do it all)
Also assume this is the best PE at what they do but not a MF.
100% more, and perks, but being miserable isn't worth it
Probably only slightly better. Even with the best work life balance, you’re spending 40 hours at work. I’m personally biased towards interesting work.
That… yeah, I can’t really disagree with that

PE work isn’t interesting though.
I would need way more, and even then I might still not take it.
I remember what it was like living on on $75k a year. $300k a year is well beyond comfortable. I can already pay for most anything I need with 300k a year. I can already plan to retire early with 300k a year (and wise investments). Work life balance is really important to me. I need the time to enjoy my actual life outside of work. Otherwise what is my money for? The difference between 100k and 200k is meaningful/impactful to my life, the difference between 300k and 400k really isn't. My quality of life would not really change much with that compensation increase, in fact it would probably go down from the increased work.
