I wish I could openly rant about how every task turns into a “quick sync” that somehow eats an hour of my day. Like, can we not just use the project board like we said we would?!
Coach
So annoying! Stay firm with your time, I believe in you.
My biggest rant at the moment is coworkers eating at their desk. Sure, it's petty, but I'm over it. Crumbs in keyboards, hearing food being chewed beside me... it's like my coworkers are intentionally trying to make me lose it. PS, it's working.
Coach
Actually so valid!! I hate the sound of chewing. Is there really no other place to eat lunch? It seems sad thinking about someone not leaving their desk for 8 hours even to eat!
Sometimes people at work are too nice, which isn’t normally something that I get upset about! But in this sense things aren’t getting done, that is that person's job to do. Seems like a lot of tiptoeing around because nobody wants to be ‘that guy’ that says it. I really do feel like it can be addressed without causing conflict. It’s not impacing me 99% of the time, so I don’t feel like it’s my place to say anything, hence keeping silent on it.
Coach
Oh god, that would send me over the edge. Nothing I hate more than people avoiding conflict like they're in high school. Life is full of crucial conversations, nothing has to be that deep.
