I make $101K base salary as a Consultant/Specialist at Accenture Federal in Washington, DC. My husband is a teacher making $55K. We’re getting by with our mortgage and regular student loan payments, but it’s not enough to do much else. We also want to start a family in a few years. What move could I make to hit $150K base? So many of you are making unbelievable amounts… I don’t know how to keep up.

Desperately want to get into healthcare strategy consulting. 13 years of healthcare clinical experience including project work. MBA. But keep getting told by recruiters that I don't have enough experience to be a Consultant or Manager but that I have too much experience to enter in every level such as a Senior Associate. I currently work as an APM at a FAANG company but recently received an offer to join an MBB. I’m very excited about the role but didn’t realize I’d need to take a pay cut when I applied (~100k base + ~20k bonus + ~60k equity vs. 90k base + 10-20k bonus). Considering that I currently work 40-60 hours/week, I’ll be making significantly less per hour at the MBB. I’m very interested in the opportunity but also don’t want to make a poor financial decision early in my career. Thank you for your time!
