LinkedIn Cringe proof read request: I’m about to start my part time MBA journey. Is it worth announcing on LinkedIn? Or it’s likely to be cringe?

Instead post something like
" With my part time MBA, life has been busy.
Here is what it taught me about B2B sales"

funnylikesmart

Lol, actually, I did think about posting a picture of me too. Now I abandoned that plan..

funny

Nobody cares = cringe

Nobody cares you are going to school.

like

What’s your end game with that post? “You’re going back to school? Okay.”

Post after you receive your MBA; when you’ll be looking for a job. Wishing you luck.

Reminds me of when one of my fb friends announced she was about to write a book. Few years later… still no book. Point is, anyone can announce something before accomplishing it. Don’t be lame

funnylikesmart

Exactly!

This question in and of itself is cringe. So yeah, go ahead and have at it!

likefunny

What’s the intent of the LI broadcast? Is simply telling your friends and family not enough? Or are you doing it for the thumbs up? The latter is cringy. To D1’s comment, no one cares. And if a stranger/acquaintance did thumbs up, what does that mean to you? Do it to collect thumbs 👍 seems shallow

like

Then broadcast it after you graduate from your mba. By the time you finish your part time, your network might not exist or changed.

like

If you didn’t already announce months ago that you were starting the application process, it’s too late. Might as well drop out at this point.

funny

Announce it when you've graduated.

like

And no disrespect meant here, but part time mbas are not that impressive. And i say that with kindness to give you a different perspective

I'd tell them what you have done, not what you will do. It's more powerful.

The only people it won’t be cringe for are your friends or family. So just announce it to them and skip the post.

Studied accounting and finance but worried about the future of this profession. Currently working in Forensic Consulting but want to leave. Should I go back to undergrad and get a computer science degree? I honestly want a career where I could at least potentially make 600 k per year. I feel in accounting it’s near impossible. Additionally, I’m sick of people looking down on me. My gf is getting a PhD in a social science and gets way more respect then me. I am 25 also. HELP

Hello! It seems this bowl is not very active but I'd like it to be. So here's my story: Born & raised in PR, moved to CA for undergrad & have been here since then. I graduated from law school in 2019, followed by a 2 yr bk clerkship. I did the evening program. I really enjoyed law school, in spite of the microaggressions, the late nights, & crazy competition. Love all things diversity in the law. Anyway, currently looking for a position in NYC/DC area. 🤗

Is it just me or do 90% of the jobs being laid off by big tech sound made up? Many job descriptions with multiple bullet points that all kinda revolve around the same idea. One of my buddies works for a big IT company and literally just sits on meetings all day. No one really contributing to anything other than agreeing to whatever the speaker is saying. Are these kind of jobs finally being exposed? Six figure employees getting paid to sit and bounce ideas off each other?

This one is going to make some of y’all mad, but it’s so annoyingly unnecessary. The most irritating part is “is it a shirt day or a skirt day”…. Like women don’t wear shirts with skirts and men don’t wear shirts with pants. Shirts and skirts are not mutually exclusive. I’ll just leave this here.

I woke up today tired.

My work cell was buzzing and then I remembered something.

I forgot to thank the bus driver that dropped me off a few days ago.

I got up and rushed downstairs to find the bus driver.

It was raining outside but I was already running barefoot to the bus stop.

I stood there soaked in my pajamas as the bus approached.

Then, the door opened. The driver got up and shook my hand.

I sat down and started my shift.

I’m the bus driver. Reminder to love and thank yourself.
