Hi fishes! I had asked for benefits other than CTC which Bank of America provides & now that I've completed 1 month here, here's the list of allowances you'll be getting irrespective of position/band:
1. Sodexo: 1300 p.m./ 15,600 p.a.
2. Transport allowance: 900 one way, 1800 two ways p.m./ 21,600 p.a.
3. Internet: 1500 max p.m. (other than that, one time installation charges)
4. Tuition fee: Any certification related to your field. Like CFA, FRM etc. 3,00,000 p.a.

Tell the recruiter what’s up and ask for a sign on bonus.
I’d tell the recruiter that it’s making it a hard decision and if they could meet in the middle you’d feel good about jumping. As a hiring manager adding a 5k hiring bonus with 90 or 180 day payback periods is way easier than continuing to recruit.
Would NOT ask for bonus/salary based on 401k vesting you’re leaving on the table. Has nothing to do with you, or your future performance at new company. But DO ask for more time between current gig and start date. If they want you to start ASAP, they’ll do all they can to get you on board sooner. If they can’t provide you with more $ (and they REALLY want you) they’ll be flexible with start date IMO. Just be sure to tell them why you want a start date extension. Not 100% you’ll actually get extension (or bonus) but that’s the best way to handle in the eyes of your new employer, which will set a good foundation for you.
If it’s more than $5k, make an issue of it - the timing is so close. And it’s a guarantee you can prove vs some people who play games saying a bonus is coming or something. If it’s less than $5k then you need to just move on.
Yea go ahead and bring up to the manager in a nice way. It’s a real thing and just be honest.
Can you negotiate a start date that allows you to delay giving your notice until you're vested
Yep. I’ve allowed folks to delay start so they could vest or receive a bonus - if I can’t get them additional money. I’d say two months is fair. If they balk or don’t come back with more money, consider passing. Don’t let recruiter strong arm you.
The new place won’t wait?
Depending on the money. But I would. Make it crystal clear you’re accepting though.
