Little over a year into consulting, first job out of college, SEA region. Feel like I have 0 personal time and that i wake up just to work, also probably due to covid fatigue and staying indoors. Everyday feels like a drag and just looking forward to Fridays. Pay is good relative to other fresh graduate jobs in the region, but struggling to stick thru it much longer. Parents aren’t supportive and asks me to suck it up /40 more years of working left. Am i just an entitled brat? Advice appreciated

Im starting a new job but still employed somewhere else. I was trying to be open about staying at BOTH places. My current job won’t let me be part time because they don’t allow “set schedules”. Yet I am one of the only reliable and loyal employees in the department, and currently working a set schedule. So why will they not let me continue a set schedule but with different hours? This place is more focused on strict policies and not actually trying to work their employees and being flexible.

Endpoint security, virtual patching, network security, email gateway, dlp, lbs. Now currently working in VAPT for more than 3years with multiple clients managing most of the work and connecting with clients, also implementing technologies. Tools currently working in are Qualys and Tenable.
I feel Iam very underpaid with 6.5lpa.

Hi guys, I got an offer from x and i discussed that with my current. At 1st current said they can only give 30% increment. I said I can't stay with this cause i got 70% and expect at least 50%(as the 70% included VP and the current org don't have vp, they have bonus). Then they said they can do max 45%. I really wanted to stay here so I said okay to current. Then now hr called me and said they are matching the offer(no vp). What should I make out of it? What made them change their mind?

I just recently worked 58.6 hours in a week, weekly pay, nice OT profit right? Depends on where you live.

In Iowa, there is no Overtime pay mandate, the overtime pay is at the discretion of the business. I received 58.6 hours of base pay for the week.

If the company makes less than $1 million per year or does not engage in intercontinental sales, the company is not required to pay the overtime rate of time and a half, just your base rate.

I have realized I grew up in a household where my dad did not treat my mom as an equal. He belittles her, is rude and convinced his way is the only way.
