Londoners, any layoffs/moves?

I was recently laid off and my client offered to be a reference and wanted to see if there was anything else she could do to support me during this time. Any tips on taking advantage of this generous offer?

I think I have work trauma not sure how it’s clouding my ability to make decisions. I’ve had unstable work after being laid off from a company 3 years ago. I thought I worked out a plan to get to a stable place but my job is proving to be unstable yet again. I secured a FT role at another company but because it’s a lot less money I’m unsure because I feel very cynical about companies in general. I assume it’ll be just like all the rest but now I’ll just be making less and could get laid off.

More layoffs last week at Leo B. Seems they went after more Seniors & $alaries. Thank you France.

Most staff/sr assoc would make 80% of salary for the next 4 months if fired & yet firms are considering pay cuts.

I am seeking new employment, I was recently laid off due to lack of work. I would very much appreciate any leads. I have a Bs in Construction Management and over 15 years experience with Revit and AutoCAD and 7 years of plumbing design. I have solid references and impeccable work ethic. I truly enjoy what I do. Working remotely the last three years has become a way of my life and supports our current situation well, therefore I am seeking a similar role but will consider other opportunities.

Anyone hear talks of layoffs in Advisory? I know my office is laying off Assurance and BTS (Tax) staff but haven't heard much of Advisory yet.

The severance package at Meta for laid off employees almost makes it nice to be laid off depending on what your personal situation is….. personally wouldn’t mind getting 4+ months of full pay to reset and think about what’s next 😬

I work on a consulting team at a large software company. I’m a job hopper, around 2 years each at my first and second jobs and a little over a year at this job. I recently found out they’re shutting my team down. We’re not fired, but they’re transferring us to the core implementation team, which has a horrible reputation for malignancy, overworking, and isn’t at all what I was hired to do. How hard is it going to be to for me to find a new job? Should I just stay and try things out? What next?

Hey, I’ve been working at an agency for 10 months. Tbh the low entry level salary in marketing is getting to me. I live in a high cost of living city. I hate having to work from 9-6, sometimes skipping lunch(not paid for lunch hour), and working overtime for no over time pay. Is it worth sticking it out or switching fields? I was previously offered a job at another company where the 75k salary was guaranteed for the first year. Most people make much more than this once their comp fully ramps up, but, I would have to work in the office. I declined the offer, but now the CEO wants to meet with me several months later. Is now a good or bad time to move? I’m a financial analyst with 5 YOE (3 in manufacturing, 2 in Saas). I’ve been asking for promotion for almost a year now in my current company. Finally, my new manager and all the leaders on the team are supportive of my promotion. However, he said due to budget issue, my promotion probably won’t go thru during this cycle (August), but they will make sure it go thru in Feb ’23. If I get offered SFA role outside, should I consider? Or stay?
