Anyone have a full-time Big 4 offer (JD/LLM) with a signing bonus in Dallas or similar COL? My recruiter says it’s not negotiable but if I know of someone from a competitor with a higher bonus then she can see what she can do.

Are Tuck and Darden really much better for consulting than other schools? Yeah they have that rep but it seems they have more students recruit for MBB so overall success rate into these firms isn’t much higher than other schools.

Does internal transfer happen in EY GDS service line? I am in International Tax and not liking it here just within a couple of months of joining. It’s a lot of back office work that is very frustrating and stressful. Have experience of Individual tax (US) for a little over 2 years and an EA. Also, does the pay scale vary?

For those who moved from a client serving role to an internal role in public accounting while at a fairly high level (experienced manager or senior manager), did you take a pay cut or does your pay stay flat when you transition with minimal increases in subsequent years? Also what role are you in now? I really like EY and the company. I’d like to look at moving to an internal role but I’m worried I’ve priced myself out (currently at around 140k comp in LCOL).

I work on a consulting team at a large software company. I’m a job hopper, around 2 years each at my first and second jobs and a little over a year at this job. I recently found out they’re shutting my team down. We’re not fired, but they’re transferring us to the core implementation team, which has a horrible reputation for malignancy, overworking, and isn’t at all what I was hired to do. Looking to transition out of Management Consulting and going into big tech in NYC. Ideally, I would love to go in as a PMM; however I’ve heard it’s very difficult to make that jump if you don’t have a degree in engineering or CS (I’m a liberal arts graduate and in the final year of a part-time mba).
