Hi fishes
I was supposed to have my Amazon Round 3 interview in the first week of May but the interviewer didn't join. My recruiter didn't reply for a few days and then rescheduled it.
Even in this rescheduled interview, my interviewer didn't join. This time my recruiter joined and said she'll reschedule my interview.
She still hasn't done that even after a follow up.
Is this common? Is this some kind of patience test?
I have no clue but I'm really frustrated at this point.
Please suggest

McKinsey & Company Has any industry experienced candidates pivot to MBB Engagement Manager before? My roommate works at FAANG as Senior Analyst (Ops, 6+ YOE) and was approached by McKinsey & Company recruiter for an EM role. He hasn’t done consulting before. Would this be too much of a risk? His goal is to pivot to PE S&O eventually.
McKittensey & Company, anyone?

You do know like Accenture is a top 5 agency as well as consulting business?
Sure but respectfully what does this mean in terms of my post? I already work at a top 5. Are you saying I should ask for more money?

What's the level you are offered? If Manager (level 7) you could probably ask for 140-150 base + sign on bonus + annual bonus.
Senior manager is higher. Associate manager is about what you asked for.
WLB is typically much worse than what you'd have in an agency.
Thanks for the helpful comments. Do you mind if I DM you for some more info?
The RFPs for the CEM role will be marketing/advertising specific.
Have some questions:
-Any insight on WLB for either of these areas?
-How about pay? I didn’t want to give a number but ended up saying $120. I feel like I low balled myself but couldn’t find info on glass door
-Anybody know about the CEM role specifically? I’m leaning toward that one because I really want to do more strategy vs execution. I don’t think I’m ready to be a consultant but this could be a great stepping stone.
About me: going on 10 years experience, 7 in agency and 3 in house for a mega brand. Also working on my MBA part time at a T25 school. Currently making $80k but I’m in a MCOL area and really don’t do much at work lol
Also the CEM role would be up to 25% travel and I think they are mostly remote.
The account manager is pretty much remote except for going into the local office for big meetings. Up to 10% travel but they made it seem like it would be rare.
