Looking for advice. I’m about 16 days late. I’ve tested a few times and it’s been negative. My cycle is usually consistent. Could I be pregnant and am I just testing too early ? First time in this situation.

Highly unlikely; far more likely that you ovulated later than usual.

Go get blood tested. That's the only way to find out

like

Recommend to get a blood test so you can know for sure. You can order online for around $35. Definitely not testing too early but there may be other factors at play.

I read somewhere that this happened to a woman whose levels skyrocketed above the rested range and it was because she was pregnant with twins. If you have a consistent cycle, other than stress, not sure what would throw it off so much.

I have usually been fairly regular, maybe off by a couple of days here and there, but on a few random occasions, my period has been extremely late and all pregnancy tests have been negative. I’ve never really gotten an answer on why (aside from misdiagnoses of PCOS), but I have been there and been disappointed when my period actually came at 16 days late - or in the rare cases years ago where it skipped a month. The only answer here is that you have to go get a blood test to confirm.

I got an email last night from a 7th-grade parent because her son said I mentioned the words "male privilege" in class, and she is very concerned about how that is related to ELA (she said "reading"), and she is concerned about this being taught in public schools. To be clear, I didn't do a lesson on this subject but we did discuss rights versus privileges. I've had multiple parents contact the school/get upset with me because of things like his. It's exhausting... Thoughts?

My father took a home loan, and the same home is kept as mortgage.
I'm paying arround 22k emi for the same but unable to exempt tax as the loan is on my father's name.

I googled a lot how to transfer it but neither gift deed nor sale deed would work as the property is on mortgage that's under bank's ownership (until loan is fulfilled).
Tax is also getting deducted, I'm paying hefty emis.
What can I do?
Please advise 🙂

If yes, then kindly suggest a reasonable salary range for this role.

I hope my father dies before my mom. Otherwise he’d consider it my duty to drop my life & move home to cook & clean for him, like my mother does. My mom works full time but is expected to take care of all things in the house, as well as do the accounting for my father’s business. He’s helpless without her, & is a sexist asshole. (IE my mom sprained her wrist and has carpel tunnel but she’s still expected to wash his dishes and he refuses to just buy a dishwasher). Please God, let him die first.

Misled on Maternity Leave Policy. I found out I only get 4 weeks pay for maternity leave (STD +“sick days”). I will take 12 weeks but wont get paid for 8 weeks. I work for a US, west coast based company in the tech/VC industry. Their website claims to offer “paid parental leave and other progressive benefits for parents”. I didn’t find out until after I was hired their pay was only 8 weeks but since I have been at the company less than 12 months, I don’t qualify for their policy. Is this unfair?
