It really depends on the company, industry, and position. There's also a lot more to in-house compensation aside from base and bonus (e.g. equity, profit share, 401k match, etc.). Either way, it's pretty much guaranteed that you'll be taking a pay cut. Unless you have a very specialized skillset that's in demand, you'll likely be looking for "entry-level" associate counsel positions which are in the low-mid 100 range base.
Expect to cut your all in pay/comp in half. I’m a 4th year at a F100 in Illinois and I make a little less than half of what I’d make at a large firm. Hours aren’t much better.

C1, would you say that even though you don’t have real breaks, you enjoy this more than you did big law? Big law you’re grinding but there also down times, which is nice to have.
