Got a notification from Honeywell that my application is “under consideration”. Does this mean that it is actually under consideration, as in it didn’t get kicked out by ATS? Or is it just an acknowledgment that it was successfully submitted? It took about 3 business days to get the notification.

What transferable skills do you have? I'm sure there is some overlap with Fin ops but there might be certifications or other qualifications you may need to get. Corporate development is going to be a huge emphasis in corporate life for years to come so I think it's wise you're interested in making the transition.
Besides a solid background in financial services I also have excellent communication skills that I feel can be more uncommon from back office. I also have a very good understanding of financial statements from my accounting background, experience with data analysis and strong excel skills. My current position has never required modeling but I find it quite interesting and feel I can learn it quickly on the job. I am also open to any and all required licensure.

I don't think you're totally locked out by any means. I think the transferable skills that you can go on to use in that role. My main thing would be to put that in your resume honestly and connect the dots for the person reading them. I got my resume reworked by a professional when I was pivoting out, made a huge difference
