Curious, anyone works or has worked in the PCS group at Marks Paneth? If so, what is the culture like, perks, hours, comp for a senior? Considering on applying but just want to get some insight scoop. Thanks!
How do you define work-life balance? And how much of that balance is reasonable to expect for someone with ~2 YOE, be that in the Big 4 or in smaller niche/boutique firms?
Is it just me, or is the big 4 sales culture low energy? I get the RFP process is painful, having done it in other industries myself, but the way I've seen most people sell in these firms seems mediocre for the amount of support that gets thrown at these opportunities. Maybe it's the ex-finance consultant in me, but the approaches I've seen in my 5 year tenure so far have me thinking this isn't catering to my strengths and won't be the best move to stick it out to SM/PPMD.
Were anybody gradschool interns here at b4 midsize? I'm going to graduate right after my internship ends and wanted to know if it's typical to start right away instead of the year gap for undergrad.

Anyone with US Trust as a PCA? Looking for additional details in terms of the culture, day to day type of things and how you’re doing there vs. what the recruiter stated was the average?
Senior associate considering an in-house role but am not sure about how conflicts play into the equation. The in-house role is kind of my ideal job (sector counsel) and I’m really excited about it. However it’s at my biggest client’s biggest competitor. Both are Fortune 100 companies. My client provides maybe a quarter of my work and I am regularly adverse to various sectors/businesses of the new company for my big client and a few other clients. This feels like a no go. Thoughts?
Is Deloitte abstaining from hiring H1Bs? Had good interviews with Deloitte for two different positions but then complete silence. No reply at all. Have you felt the same ? or your latest experience.
My home office had a makeover and I upgraded to a standing desk! I now have a box of books and college textbooks ready to donate. Is there anywhere I could take them to donate considering... South Fl

Why did Deloitte’s federal practice have layoffs? Given that the clients are large government entities. I can understand it happening in commercial but federal makes no sense

Better to be a big fish in a small pond or a little fish in a big pond for MBA apps (I.e. superstar at B4 or mediocre/below average at MBB; metaphorically speaking ofc, ik the B4 is technically bigger in terms of size but you understand the point in terms of competitiveness)?
Hmm... keep my whole Sunday and fly Spirit Monday morning? Or give up and fly American Sunday night?
I swear to god the maids at the Westin intentionally point that little handheld shower apparatus straight at you so when you turn on the shower...
