You will probably get more money working a remote job from an agency based in NY or LA
Don’t go to Zimmerman in Fort Lauderdale. You’ll hate your life.
working there will shorten your life expectancy. it's a gaudy temple to an egomaniacal founder who almost certainly googles himself three times a day and wears the same orange paint as trump. he also loves trump. i mean LOVES him.
yeah dont go there lol
If there is a silver lining to be had of this pandemic, it’s that there are now so many more opportunities available to people all over the country- i.e., that you don’t necessarily need to be physically based or present at your workplace. There is a very small advertising presence in South Florida, and, yes, historically, they have sought and given preference to bilingual applicants (understandably). Unless you are set on being in a physical office environment, I would widen your search to include remote opportunities.
Hi! From South Florida. Depending on where you’re headed will dictate how much you interact with the Latinx / Hispanic community, like Broward, Miami Dade, the Keys. I worked in Miami and knowing Spanish was a plus, not a requirement. (It especially helped when my boss wanted to shit talk in front of me and didn’t know I had 7 years of Spanish classes under my belt). As far as agencies, that’s also dependent on your new region!
I am in Florida, Miami. The money is way less, and they expect the same amount of work.
Some really good agencies are Gut, David and The Community. Many do bilingual work but knowing Spanish is not necessary to get a job. Plenty of people here don’t even know how to say “hola!”. It is a misconception. I would do my research before moving, make sure it is what you want. Definitely working remote at other states could make u more money.
The cost of living here is through the roof!!!!! Pay used to match because the cost of living was less but now…it is a struggle. DM me
If you have specific questions.
That’s an ACD salary
And yes, it is unfair
i worked at vmly&r and razorfish. had brief stints at the community and david. always wanted so bad to get into AlmaDDB
moved away a few years back but i remember RepublicaHAVAS really started doing good work when they got bought by the group. VMLYR is a chill place, ECD is the nicest dude youll ever meet. AlmaDDB makes great work. David & Gut are obviously great for awards but good luck getting in there. La Comunidad had a rut for a few years but theyre coming back, doing good work again. Razorfish is going to close their doors in two years. CPB is gone. McCann and Laundry Service supposedly have tiny operations somewhere around there.
Besides that, you have 22squared in Tampa for Publix but that's a garbage client. I think there's some decent inhouse stuff around Florida
BiLingual is great but I don't speak a lick of spanish and did almost five years at four shops just fine. market is tiny though. avoid places like Zimmerman and probably steer clear of WorldMedia too
Razorfish survives on only one client, automotive mega-conglomerate Stellantis. Supposedly Stellantis announced a few months ago when their contract is up in 3 years they're moving 100% of their work to Central America where it's cheaper. Razorfish has no other clients anymore

Where in Florida?
Make sure you negotiate the highest salary you can at FKQ. They don’t do reviews or bonuses so you’re stuck where they hire you.
You need to speak Spanish if you buy food from a local bodega. Hay no ingles allá!
Did you get the role? Or are you exploring options. Have a few Ex coworkers who moved to FLL and landed jobs and they didn’t need Spanish per se for the role! Also good thing is their roles will say good to have or required.
