I’ve been working for a small investment firm for about a year and am having some issues with my boss. We have a weekly check-in but he’s ALWAYS 2-3 hours late, or skips the meeting altogether without warning. He also never replies to any of the emails I send. The CEO added a qualifier, to be eligible for the payout one must agree to and sign a binding arbitration agreement. In the CEOs email to staff he indicates these agreements are standard in most companies and typically required for new hires.

I got hired to be the SME on a particular tech platform at my current company. I have more experience on it than my boss does, yet during a code review, he insisted that I delete a section of code that was perfectly functional and shippable and swap in his preferred code. Two hours later, he figured out that the reason why there were more than a few compiler errors in the code was because my code actually worked… smh.

I got reprimanded by a man for having an uninspired point of view of a conference call. He then gave me his inspired POV...which was exactly the same. When I pointed that out he said, “huh. Maybe.”

3rd week on the job, a guy 2 levels below me came into my office and started the conversation with "let me lend you a piece of advice...". As expected, it was not useful advice, he was just a douche.
