Maybe you guys can help me. After looking and interviewing for many jobs, I finally landed multiple offers. My problem now is which one to choose. They’re all fully remote and flexible. One offer is not a six figure pay but close and offers yearly bonuses and increases with good PTO and retirement benefits. The other two is a six figure salary and also flex but some of the benefits offered is sus.

Do you know of any full time/freelance creatives who also direct commercials? Like, ones who cherry pick jobs they want to work on?

Which would you choose:
1. Director/Chief Privacy Officer: B2B. healthcare global company. $240K total comp + sign-on bonus. Move to the Midwest. Go to the office 3x week. Immediate senior leader. Team of 10 to manager + the entire company’s data processing.
2. Senior manager: B2C. big name tech company. $300K - $350K total comp. Ladder to climb. You’re assigned a lane. Remote. Individual contributor.

How are you taking care of yourself if you have depression? All of my ways of staying grounded and motivated were attached to my routine and the fulfillment from work. I feel like I’m losing all motivation and struggling more the longer remote learning goes on.

I’ve gotten an initial offer and trying to get some context on what the range is for this and whether I should push for more or accept. I did it! I got an in-house Paralegal position after years of working and being burned out at different law firms. I was going to leave the legal field all together because I was so burned out and depressed, but I decided to give the field one more chance if I was able to go in-house. Prayerfully, this transition will be a good one.

An example: I gave some ideas about deposition questions and some observations I made (I was asked about giving suggestions) regarding a witness and the attorney mentioned that he’s the one that had these great questions/observations. Is paralegal burn-out a thing? And if it is, how do you overcome it?

For those of you who made the switch to in house/corporate law, what was your experience like? Did you have to take a lower position to gain the experience or were you able to argue that your soft skills were transferable to in house? I’ve been in litigation for 15 years and I’m looking to make the switch. Ultimately, I’d like to get into Legal Ops, but feel getting some in house experience first would be beneficial.

I currently work at an international law firm (4 years) and recently accepted an offer to go in house. The main attorney I support did not take the news well and was very angry with me. I feel awful and beaten down as I don’t want to upset anyone but the new role is fully remote and a nice pay bump. Looking for words of encouragement that I did the right thing. I feel awful 😞
