Anyone know anything about Houlihan Lokey CVAS?
Have a formal offer at Citi for 120K as an AVP in the NY office. Currently making 92K at my current role where I feel there’s not much room to grow anymore. Is this a fair offer? I currently WFH pretty much full time at my current role which has been amazing, but it seems like Citi would require me to be there 2-3 days in the office per week - and this is something I’m very hesitant about. Thoughts on how to approach this?

Not ex MBB but to provide a data point
I interviewed all over the place (FAANG to seed stage startups) with ~3yoe at big4/ACN. The big companies offered probably 100-150k TC and startups offered much more volatility. I consistently got quoted 100-130k tc in LI reach outs and most competitive offer I got in the process was ~160k tc at a fintech startup that I turned down. Seems like these big offers have to be in IB/PE.

Thanks for the clarification. I think doing a similar thread for post MBA folks might be helpful as well 😄
My base is 230, I think, and I wouldn’t leave for less than 260 cash plus high likelihood of 100K+ bonus (so at least 350k). Most places I’d be looking for a solid equity topper so total comp nearing the 400K range.
I might compromise some on the bonus/equity ratio but 260 cash comp is my floor, and to really be excited I’d like to see cash closer to 300k.
Asked someone who went to LinkedIn BizOps and their TC came out to ~$180k, base was something like $120k
Honestly, doesn’t seem worth it to leave early in your tenure

About two years ago (when I had 1.5 YOE) I interviewed for a strategic finance analyst position at Bird(the scooter startup) and they quoted me a 75k base in LA. They had some ex-bankers in that position, and I just couldn’t understand why someone making banking salary would go for $75k - I mean, how LARGE could the stock component be, to make the TC competitive???
Make about 300k. Would leave for north of 425k.

Are you a PL? What level/title in what industry/types of companies would you aim for to get that $425k+ comp package?
To me as an A/C, I would only leave for over $150/$160k cash and it would need to be the right opportunity. Equity is bonus but I need cash for student debt.

What defines the right opportunity for you?
Current TC at 230. Would leave for 350+.
Damn, Bain is way behind the curve
Current at ~$220, don’t plan on leaving until I hit PL+, would prob leave at $300+ for the right opportunity, but cash is really only secondary.
For me, my current pay in itself is crazy money (I’m an immigrant), so anything above this is bonus- will leave if where I’m going to excites me (and pays above my current pay).
Current at ~255K. Won't leave for less than 350K (plus a role that excites me). I've gotten offers in the 270-300K range and rejected them.

Also consulting folks from other firms please share your current comp vs min/ideal walkaway number pls
I left BCG to a startup as an A2 (22 months) for $185k + $10k signing bonus. Hated it and came back 6 months later. Now I’m a C1
I just got cash because I didn’t want stock options. They don’t do RSUs at this startup.
225k. Min 400k.
^Or a former big law attorney
Current at 220, just decided to leave for 350
Insane offer, congrats!
Was an associate (130TC), left right after promo to C (225tc) for 375k cash
UMM PE
A1 making ~120k, don’t want to leave until C2/PL and guessing minimum 350k then unless the economy craters
