Hey all, I work in enterprise SaaS sales. Wondering what is your favorite site/app for finding your next job? Any none obvious ones (not LinkedIn, etc). Trying to see if there’s something better out there.

A) Put a spreadsheet together of every salesperson you know who does what you do. B) Ask them to connect you (via LinkedIn Messenger, email, text) to all the headhunters who are hitting them up with new job opportunities. The reason is that the large majority of people who headhunters target are not looking for a job. If they do communicate with the headhunter and tell her/him they're not looking, the next question the headhunter asks is "do you know anybody good?". You want to be that person.

I only use the normal ones. If there's a special spot to look for sales jobs I'm interested in seeing it as well. Commenting to be brought back.

I personally reach out to recruiters. Much better and faster that way. Of course, you need to expand your network first.

Hey all! I have an interview with
Deloitte in Regulatory Risk and more precisely in their Investment Management Services team. I would like to know if anyone
knows what the job entails exactly. I keep hearing about people "fooled" into taking a job in risk advisory thinking it'll really be advisory while they only end up doing IT and Audit support (which I do not want to do).
Is it the case here?
Thanks!

Hello, I’m an associate (almost at the one year mark) at a midsize firm on the EPL team. I did about 2 years of employment law as a clerk during school and know that’s what I want to go into. I’ve asked for more EPL work but keep catching PI cases. I second-chaired an employment trial but don’t see any EPL work for the foreseeable future and wasn’t getting as much EPL exposure as I wanted before the trial. Any advice on a lateral move to a bigger firm with a broader range of EPL work?

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.

But there's one thing that's been bothering me: it's hard to get feedback on my work when I'm not in the office. It would be great if there was some kind of system that let me know how my performance was being evaluated while I'm working on projects from home.

My company covers in depth results each week, including meetings set/attended, wins, revenue, retention etc. I feel as if evaluating in such depth is detrimental to the psyche, as you never get to “ride the high.” In addition, some weeks are simply slower than others, and it’s not always representative of what the results at the end of the period or quarter will be. Is this not a big deal, and I’m I placing too much importance on it? Or is it beneficial to review results less frequently?

AWS vs Cloudflare BDR roles

AWS lowballed but I negotiated to match Cloudflare. Cloudflare offers more equity but AWS has a higher base.

I love Cloudflare. The people are great but it’s an engineering culture and the sales team isn’t as well shaped up and I can’t go for a promotion until at least 18 months of tenure. I am an investor in the company and think of them super highly. I’ve already got half a years SDR experience and AWS promotes quicker.

AWS has prestige but is it worth it?
