Bain does experienced hires and I’ve seen a handful who are post PhD...not sure exactly what the process looks like though
Rising Star
We do hire a fair number of PhD's, especially for research and quantitative jobs. No idea what that process looks like though
Yes. McKinsey hires lots of them. Google McKinsey phd
What's the phd in? I/o psychs are everywhere, but fewer zoologists lol
Ha, yes, probably a bit harder to sell, but there are roles that are simply looking for the ed level at more junior levels...still pays better than academia
Bain has the Advantage program, which is specifically a pipeline for current PhD students. We absolutely hire PhDs at the consultant (post-MBA) level regularly
Pro
We hire plenty of Ph. Ds here.
BCG and Mckinsey both hire non-MBA advanced degree holders in large numbers (relatively, of course). Bain, not so much. This is from my own experience as an ADC.
Lots of PhD hires at BCG - same process as MBA hires
I'm a PhD student (public health & eng) looking to pursue consulting at MBB (Toronto or Montreal ideally). I would love to chat with folks in the space - trying to learn as much as I can. Currently enrolled in Bridge to BCG, waiting on Bain Advantage. Any Bainies willing to give me a referral?
