When is it best to leave consulting? Here's how I think about it.
First, are you enjoying it? If so, why leave (it can be a great life long career)?
Second, are you still learning fast? If not, you're missing out.
Last, what skills do most employers value? In my experience, this dictates 2 optimal jumping off points:
(a) 2-3 years in. Consulting "tool kit" is solid
(b) ~1-2 year into Manager. Employers value experience managing people.

How many years of exp at AP do you have. If you are good, perhaps could come in as MD at Accenture. Shoot me a DM and I will make an intro.
Don't go! On a serious note, why would you leave your network and platform behind to start over? I highly doubt Bain or BCG would consider a move at Partner level. Maybe Accenture or another firm would consider it, but again you're not set up for success at that point.

BCG and Bain do not hire APs directly as partners. Some B4 have done so in the last but that is rare - and an even harder move as B4 is all about sales.

BCG has fixed pay bands up until MDP. Will likely slot you in at the equivalent level role here, which is likely similar in comp. Maybe sign on is negotiable, but doubtful.
BB would definitely not take directly as partner. You'd have to lateral at same level and prove yourself before partner. Accenture you probably can but upside really isn't there...
You would get lateral at bcg, and i believe there is a 3 year minimum to MDP for the vast majority of experience hires, at least for the ones i have worked with
Maybe but AP is not equivalent of MD you’d have to be aweful close and interview well.
Lot of McK wash outs as they can do the strategy but can’t get past the conceptual and actually make it real

Do you have your own clients and book of business? If yes why should it matter. If no why would someone take you as a partner?
I know of one McK RTS AP equivalent who moved to BCG and came in as a partner and managing director. Note that BCG renamed the second two years of being a principal “partner,” though you don’t get any equity. Coming in as that fake partner level may be easier.
