Well tbh.. I am of the opinion u should go with McKinsey since the salary is similar.. and it’s one level down.. you will get r the McK brand on your CV and when u do take AVP u will get a hike on this salary so your AVP salary will be higher. And once u do become AVP promotions do slow down if m not mistaken. But that’s my 2 cents. Feel free to disagree
Rising Star
Work life balance will take a hit in McKinsey and you’ll have to prove that you’re worthy of McK brand in initial months and remember either you’re promoted or counselled out from the firm.
I work for Genpact, its not a bigger brand better to work for McK is top brand.

McK anyday. It's a much better brand besides the work culture and learning opportunities are much better. Who do you think will the client go to if they have a complex problem ? That's where the better work will be.
I would join McK even if it's little less. Just the benefits would be so much more better than Genpact.

Never genpact
Thanks guys. A bit of more details. Mine is not a management consulting role at McK. It is an internal support role of Specialist with no team to lead. The role at Genpact is of AVP and into transformation and strategy with a team of 6 DRs.
It is like Genpact has everything I want except the brand that McK has :( Pls help
If you can get to the bar of a high-performing BA or ASC, you should be able to switch to client-facing consulting (CSP). However, I’d recommend waiting at least 1 year before making the move. Actually a lot less risky to enter the Firm this way than being hired on the integrative or expert track as an experienced hire. Pay may be modestly lower in short term, but long-run upside potential is the same.
YOE? And skills?
