Moderate mistake as a mid/sr. (Maybe a 5/10). Went to partner who stepped in an is fixing it. No impact to client. Do I apologize to Partner or just keep trucking?

I’d def acknowledge the error to the partner and thank them for stepping in, and just note that you def took the entire experience as a learning experience for anything similar that comes up in the future.

like

Thank them. Apologize. And move on.

like

Acknowledging it is the right move. You don’t need to make it a big deal, but it also shows you are capable of learning from mistakes and owning up to them.

like

Instead of an apology, a sincere thank you and changed behavior may be more effective. For example, if the error was due to working too close to a deadline, you could submit your next draft several days early.

like

Definitely acknowledge it. Take responsibility, but consider doing so in a way that does not include the words "sorry," "apologize," or "apologies." Do so very, very briefly--like 2 to 3 sentences. Then move on.

like

Prob no a big issue

Definitely acknowledge and apologize.

I have a question for my fellow PI paralegals in Texas. TPCIGA requires that we submit all medical bills through the clients insurance before proceeding further. The client in question has Aetna. Any help or guidance is appreciated.

I've become really jaded about consulting. I find all so often you need to tell the client what they want to hear to keep their business and I feel like so much of the what I recommend doesn't actually get implemented. I'm looking to make a career switch so I can both create and execute on my strategies. A product management path seems very promising for this.

Does anyone who switched from consulting to product management have any recommendations of h helpful PM books, courses, or programs?

I’m curious. What would you say is the best industry / sector for…1. WLB, 2. Great people / team, 3. Exit opp’s., and 4. Overall (mix of the above). Goes without saying the obvious “it depends on office, team, project, client, etc.” So this is an ask for general observations.

What has your experience been with new job offers and counter offers from current employers? Why is education deemed more valuable on a pay scale than experience? Employers will pay someone with a degree and no experience a greater salary, than someone who has exhibited the experience.
