A producer that I know, from a multinational company in Dubai told me that they smoke inside the office, like in their tables, meeting rooms and everywhere surrounded by non-smokers. What is your understanding of the norms around whose names end up on a brief/complaint/motion papers etc.? I’m a midlevel at an AmLaw 20 firm and have twice been the principal drafter of something only to be cut from the signature block. The associate senior to me is on it despite having done far less of the work. And it’s not because it required a rewrite or something. The filed product is 80-90% my work. Am I wrong to be pissed off about this?

New job.
Moved from agency after 6yrs, into a startup (€8m Series A, high growth); first marketing hire. My manager is ex VC, seems to like managing by fear, let’s fire X, let’s cut the agency etc. sets tight deadlines & adds urgent items last minute. Others seem to feel I’m doing great but I am butting heads with him constantly about unrealistic workloads etc. Really not enjoying interacting with him, thinking about leaving... should I stick it out? I feel like I’m being abused, but need money!
