Hey DFW, TX folks. We're going through comp and merit raises, I suspect you all are too. This is the first year we're using pay ranges from payscale. Our connecting flight from JFK at 6:10 was cancelled while we were flying over the Atlantic Ocean, and we were rebooked on a 3:40 instead (2.5 hours earlier) but not notified. I received no email, text or app notification of the flight cancellation or the new flight we were placed on, so we missed it. Help me ask for a raise in my upcoming performance review? In sum, my company’s HQ is in Texas and I feel I’m being paid a Texas wage when I live in Los Angeles (the role is remote). We do have a San Francisco office and I want to ask my boss to match me what staff are making there. As that’s more comparable. Based off of Glassdoor, my salary matches Texas’s exactly and SF has the same role at 10k more. Should I show him the Glassdoor page? Don’t want to come off too strong. Please advise

Any books/self help materials for someone who is constantly worrying (and waste a lot of unnecessary time)? E.g. No matter if i pass or fail an interview, there is always something to worry about. The worrying/anxiety multiplies when I proceeded further in the interview stages. Now that I signed the offer and is pending background checks, my anxiety is off the roof as it itches closer to my starting date.

In my organization, most with my role are commission based. I make a set salary due to the firm I work for as an account manager/ coordinator for clients… I coordinate their enrollments, working with each groups HR department as to benefits and payroll purposes, and schedule our benefit counselors accordingly.
