OP you’re taking this personally and then trying to pay them back on a personal level. This type of attitude won’t get you far. Try to step outside your narrowed vision and think what’s causing them to not answer your emails. It could be something else. They might be waiting to hear back from another project that they’re excited about. Consulting is a lot about building a personal brand (yeah I know, we all hate that talk but it’s true). If you’ve come to a point in your career where people don’t want to work with you then you need to think long and hard about how you’re coming across. Try to get over your own blind spots because we’re rated on utilization hours and if people prefer to no utilization hours (self harm) than work with you on a project, you haven’t been paying enough attention. I’m saying this because I really do believe that if you did some self assessment you might be able to course correct and become a person that people on the bench will proactively ask to get staffed on your projects. Self awareness, that is all
OP like others have said, maybe nobody wants to join your project. Maybe it has a terrible reputation. Maybe you're notorious for having extreme expectations. Maybe the project management extends people until they quit. I wouldn't blame people for not wanting to join a project they'll inevitably quit. I know an Accenture project just like that
OP I’m gonna pee in your Cheerios tmrw AM
I bet OP has bad BO, that's why nobody wants to work with him/her.
And it’s not roles to work with me, so while I admit I am a pain to work with, I’m stating clearly in the email that it’s a role on a project with someone else.
Could they be on vacation? Did you try chatting them? Did you call them? I got direct phone calls about opportunities to get off the bench.
D3 - no doubt you are right. But I’ve had a shitty week and I really just came here to commiserate about how annoying it is that people don’t respond to emails. Apparently it’s not that annoying to everyone. Instead, my takeaway will be, when I have a shitty week, I should just not respond to emails and that’s okay! If it causes me to get laid off because I didn’t get staffed or didn’t answer a key question, then people on FB will be falling all over themselves to hire me into their practice at their firm.
Fishingfish1@hotmail.com !! I am looking for a role! Promise I will reply lo!
You are a loser
OP, someone from Accenture forwarded your email to me, and I am choosing not to respond too.
Pwc2. Please share, will post a burner soon
People seem pretty peeved to find out responding to emails is kinda important.
I’m a new analyst looking for my first project. What’s LRS? Anything I should know?
OP you suck
I wonder if our comments have helped OP realize something about him/her self
BCG1 must have been officers!
@P2, can u fwd that to me too? Mind If i share my burner?
Which region?
I doubt it
There are people whom I avoid. OP sounds like you might be one
Wow. Lowlife support staff. Wouldn’t Accenture leadership be proud of or support you for putting out this message at your level
EY2 and A9, I was being snarky, as in "even someone from another firm is going to ignore OP's email!"
