McKinsey & Company I am joining the McKinsey & Company Boston office in late July and searching for housing in the meantime. If I could get some insight on the ratio of days in the office vs work from home that would be super helpful!
If I need to come into the office regularly I will try to find a place close by.

Thank you everyone for sharing your experiences. The surgery went smooth and he is doing fine now. 👍🏻
Wishing all the best for a routine surgery 💙
Thank you!
Not the same thing, but my oldest had ear tubes put in at 1 y.o. Another fairly routine thing but we were also terrified. It all worked out! In fact we were so impressed by the whole thing it was like a well-oiled factory mass producing these surgeries for kiddos. I don’t know if there’s anything anyone can say to ease your concern, other than trust you’ve chosen a great surgeon who knows what they are doing.
Wishing your family a successful surgery and a speedy recovery.
Thank you!
We had our son go under for multiple procedures. Nervous before, but very glad he went through it as the outcome has been great. Best of luck!
Thank you!
Oh - I had this as a baby. Went on to play varsity football and did 7 years as a Marine. Your kiddo is going to be fine and come out fit as a fiddle.
My daughter had her surgery on both sides at once in Dec 2020. The first 24 hours she was sleepy as the anesthesia wore off. She resumed normal activity in 36 hours. We went in early in the morning and got discharged by 1 pm. Hoping for a successful surgery and speedy recovery. All the best!
My daughter when she was a few months old had a liver biopsy where they had to put her under to check for some scary stuff. Worst day of my life for sure. The whole 3 months of constant doctor visits was extremely hard. I’m very glad we did it though. She is now totally fine and obviously doesn’t remember a thing. We still remember it but not a lot to be honest. Hang in there and stay positive. I’m sure he will be just fine. Sending you lots of strength and prayers.

Sorry if I’m using this forum as a place for therapy… but my second child last summer was born 12 weeks early and had a 69 (yes, exactly) day NICU stay. What kept us going every day was the knowledge that he was exactly where he needed to be, getting care from exactly the right people, at exactly the right time. Then all of a sudden, it’s in the past. You got this!
My son had surgery for this a year ago, he was probably 6 months old at the time. Was a really fast operation, in and out in one morning. Was back to normal in no time. Best of luck to you!
He will be very disoriented when he comes out. This is extremely normal and can last a good amount of time. It will be hard but he will be okay.
