Just make sure that your assigned tasks are done just like how you wanted it to be. Always monitor all the medium that is prone to glitches.
plan and communicate well in advance, test technology beforehand, design event with both audiences in mind, have a designated facilitator for remote attendees, encourage interaction between both audiences, record the event, and follow up with attendees
Make sure that the technology and wifi is set up good for those who are remote. Test it a couple times before the event
Make sure that both are able to engage in the event. We all hate attending events online and the host acts like we're not even there or we aren't able to participate as much as we want.
I would say it should be an intimate gathering 10-12 people that was everyone is able to be apart of the event and get to know each other even the remote attendees
Wouldn't really recommend the hybrid set-up for anything. But if you do find something out that I don't know about. Be sure to call me up. Thanks
How big is your community? I think you should also consider this factor. But personally, I don't think a hybrid event is the answer.

You might find it difficult but with serious planning, it will be a success. Make sure you appoint a facilitator or organizer. Each part of the event should have a designated head.
