So what's “Project Fit” (aka CUT BACKS/LAYOFFS)?
Hi Fishies, I was hired for wealth and asset management project EY . It is capital market domain. Any body have any idea about this project going on in EY and the tools used for it.
Please advise if anyone have idea about it.
Just want to know any global tool they use for wealth and asset management, so it's a plus for me to join.
Thanks in advance

Hello All, I have one question. I was a fresher and joined one organization as external employee with third party payroll. I worked as external payroll for 1 year then I became permanent employee of organization was working. When i was a fresher my salary was below tax slab so my external exployer did not generate any form 16 for me. When tried to switch my new organization wants me to submit form 16 as BGC process. Will my offer get reverted?Cognizant Tata Consultancy HCL Technologies Accenture

Bill to your cases for every second of admin work you are forced to do and you will get someone’s attention
We’re a small boutique, the client is not really conservative on the bills so nobody would ever notice. Also, this sounds like im still doing his admin work?
I think you have a misplaced view of what your job is. Keeping up with court deadlines is an important part of being a litigator. Even though my firm has a calendaring system that our staff maintains, inevitably little schedule changes that they weren’t cc’d on or picked up in a lengthy court order cause mistakes are made and so I always make my own separate calendar just as a backstop. Even if that weren’t the case, I am firmly in the camp that if a deadline is missed it is ultimately the attorney’s responsibility and not to be blamed on a staff member.
Like I bill my time and then I’m out, why do I have to review the whole bill, make time adjustments to others’ entries, and verify everything has been entered when I have a pretty full docket and no secretary or para?

Dung rolls downhill. If you don’t have enough support staff, guess who’s going to get stuck doing that work? The associate with a lowering billing rate than their boss. Annoying, but easy billables.
I've worked with one of those. Nothing was his job if he didn't want to do it. Eventually I transitioned to work for other attorneys for 90% of my work before becoming partner. He moved to another willing participant. But agree with others. In your current role, capture all your time. If asked about your entries, would say either you need more staff or a raise.
Unfortunately, my experience at every associate job I’ve ever had has been *everything is the associate’s problem*. I really resented reviewing bills and doing other admin work when I was more junior, but it actually set me up pretty well to prepare for partner.
I really resent it now. I also don’t have a clear path to partnership so it feels exploitative.
I’d swear to god this is my firm if I wasn’t the firms only associate
One year, I’m out
I’m sure it’s just a pure coincidence that he happened to brand himself in a way that results in him doing less work. 🙄
