Been there - too many times. If you’re passionate about staying at this job, set boundaries. Tell them you won’t be responding outside of hours you set unless it is an emergency and that any non-emergent messages will be addressed within your working hours. If they can’t respect that, then consider your options. No job is worth giving up all of your personal time or constantly being on edge wondering if they’ll reach out. Good luck!!
This is inappropriate, intrusive and unprofessional. Mine does and will only text if an emergency such as an unexpected family matter that requires rescheduling of meetings. He’s even apologetic when he reaches out. Or he will ask my permission to chat during off hours before doing so. You can gently reinforce your messaging to him/her.
Oh my, yes! One boss I had would never leave me alone. I swear, on my days off, she would still contact me and give some guilt trip that I wasn’t helping her finish her project. As soon as I found a new job, I was out!
What does your employment letter entails? I was once had the experience of working round the clock with a traveling firm and we were into ticketing. You can set boundaries by attending to what's necessary and the ones that can wait.

Thankfully, no. If they were to and I'm not contracted to be on call, I will draw firm boundaries and stick to it.
I just don’t answer because I really don’t care. I respond when I’m on the clock.
