Doing free advertising campaigns now? 🤣
Yea.....I don't know that I would agree to do that.
Doing it because obviously seems like a silly reason not to even be considered for a bonus but this is a lot.
Once per WEEK? That is an absurd level of self-promotion for the firm…
That's wild, how big is your firm? Corporate law?
There's business development and LinkedIn or whatever, but your boss does not own your personal social media. Also can you go on private or what proof do they require for bonus eligibility? That feels super super weird
That bites, hope you can find somewhere that's less intrusive / administrative burden... they need to hire a real marketing department instead of making you do extra work for free
This is interesting…. Does it have to be a substantive post or “Hey, at lunch with colleagues”?
Hmmm… Once or twice a month on LinkedIn maybe OK, but once a week on your personal social media account(s) not OK. Hopefully, there will be enough of you who can push back in a professional manner. Sorry and Good Luck.
This is funny. Sorry for the expectation being placed on you. I agree that it’s a silly concept. But maybe leverage it to grow your own brand; set yourself up for something in the future 😉
Yes very strange!! Is it just LinkedIn though? Or like IG, FB, twitter? It would be easier if it counts to repost what the firm already posted. Maybe they’re slow and want everyone to help with business development? Either way, I bet not everyone is actually doing it and you should get some sort of credit for doing it.
It definitely should not be mandatory
You can comply with the requirement with your Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn, but I think of my LinkedIn as a personal page.
Bowl Leader
Uncommon.
Are we talking on LinkedIn or are we talking Facebook and Instagram? I've seen the "strong recommendation" for LinkedIn, but see little purpose for the others.
If you’re not an equity partner or on the road to become one in the short term (less than a year) I think this is just plain ridiculous. If it’s a very small firm and you all needed to take turns making posts from the firm’s social accounts to try to get business that would be one thing but a weekly post on personal social media pages as a non-equity partner seems very unfair / asking A LOT!
