would really like to break into
product management and believe in
my 5 weeks so far I have shown skills

acceptable to ask my manager to

I definitely would've sent them an email even after the first 10 minutes lol. Congrats on the Google interview! Hope that goes well, friend
This happened to me once before, send them a follow up email if you haven't already.
And yes, definitely prepare for the Interview with G, had 1 last week & it was only round 1 & it was a bit intense. All the best to you!
I would send a quick email or text to check. LIfe happens! I would let them know I was here and giving them the opportunity to reschedule in my nice answer back
Send a check-in email after 5 minutes. Before that double check to make sure you got the link etc right.
They really need to create something to at least send out reminder links or something.
Is it a recruiter that's working with an external agency? Or internal?
It was with one of the managers.
I usually drop an email to check, and if still no response, it's a write-off
Did you ever hear back? And how did your interview with Google go?
I deviated from the STAR method I learned when preparing for my Amazon interviews. My bit of rambling would probably have been an automatic failure there (ProServe), but I'm hoping G will be more forgiving on that point. My coding solution could have been further optimized, but I think the rest went really well.
