My manager says they want me to take more initiative, but every time I do, they micromanage the result or redo it entirely. It’s like being told to run while someone ties your shoelaces together. I’m trying to grow and take on more, but the mixed messages are exhausting and demotivating. How do you actually develop in a role like that without getting stuck or burning out?

What I'm confused about is that even as a teenager I could read entire books overnight. But the last two years of high school I started selectively zoning out and the problem has become worse since. I just realised it now. My doctor has suggested treating depression (I was also unaware of this) with Wellbutrin first (contd)
