That’s a great idea! I’d start by gathering data (costs, employee interest, retention benefits) so you can show the business case. Maybe find examples of companies of similar size that offer it. If you can, team up with other parents to strengthen your pitch. Framing it as a talent retention tool could help a lot!!
Any tips on where to start gathering data? I obviously have number on how much daycare costs me as a parent, but not operational costs to run a daycare.
It comes down to liability. Most employers are risk averse and an Onsite Daycare can be a lot of risk. So, I would suggest getting with your Legal team and find out what concerns they would have. Build a proposal around addressing those concerns as well as Safety, Cost Control, and Employee Engagement.
Even then...this is a tough sell for most employers. Good luck.

That is a HUGE expense. Before doing any research to waste your time, just reach out to your current benefits team to see if it has ever been considered. Most employers are trying to cut cost…
